Nikon brings out the big guns with their Coolpix S700 model. This attractive, metallic-body compact camera packs a big 12-megapixel sensor, allowing for larger and more detailed photographs than ever before. Now, keep in mind, 12 megapixels doesn’t necessarily mean you get better photographs, just bigger ones, but if you like a lot of room to crop or want to make super large digital prints, the oversized CCD will come in handy. The S700 also features lens-shift image stabilization to counteract the hand-shakes that compact cameras are so succeptible to.
